Wednesday wonderful: dancing
October 13, 2010 § 6 Comments
Some things just make me ridiculously happy. Eating Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream from the tub, having a good hair day and being on the receiving end of a fabulous hug for example.
Another of those things is dancing. There is something about moving your body on the beat of the music or following the wonderful melodic lines that brings such joy and pleasure it’s hard to replicate (even with B&J, which is saying something).
Best of all: it doesn’t matter if you’re the prima ballerina of the Royal Ballet or just a 5-year-old jumping around and singing into your hairbrush: the happiness effect is instant.
So take three minutes today. Put on your favourite song and have a bit of a move. Just because. It’s Wednesday.

Ah gosh, I love this. I can’t dance – I mean, I have no sense of rhythm at all. But just relaxing, putting on some music and dance a little (when no one is watching, haha) feels great.
Dancing when no one is watching is the greatest ever. Nothing better
girl- tonight i’m so going to dance & sing one for you! ; )
thanks for the great advice- dancing is often forgotten. but man, it is an amazing spirit-booster!
